Absolutely delicious food & the friendly staff man makes the experience even better! Highly recommended.
I never write reviews, but after coming here I thought I best start. I have never been to a curry house with the atmosphere that Shenai has - it is like no other. The service was brilliant we were served by the owner who was such a lovely guy and did everything to make our first experience here amazing. The food just topped off a perfect evening it tasted 10/10. Whenever I have gone past here it was always busy and now i can see why. My only wish was i tried it sooner.
Table booked: 20:00, finally got our table 20:45-21:00, even after booking a month ago, ringing the day before to confirm and then the restaurant ringing on the day to confirm. Our orders were taken eventually, the drinks and food turned up and were dumped in the middle of the table for us to give to the right person. The rice and naan breads arrived at 23:00 and the curry at around 23:25, needless to say it was stone cold, the food was then inedible. When we challenged the bill we were fed lie after lie about them taking items off the bill as good will, they couldnt however tell us what theyd taken off. If youre looking for a relaxed evening, lovely food then AVOID this place at all costs.
Went here last night for a work Christmas do. When we arrived the table was not ready and we were told 5 minutes. 45 minutes later everyone was still standing outside in the cold. We were finally sat down around an hour later than our reserved time and things just went from bad to worse. The service was so slow the owner came over and said "I am very sorry, I will take over the service of this table as you cannot get the staff anymore" we could only agree.The main meals took so long to come out that by the time everyone had their main and rice etc most food was cold. There was absolutely no service what so ever, as every meal or drink that came to the table was thrown down in one place and left for us to pass around the table sort out. We spoke with the manager regarding the bill who can only be described and rude. He attempted to tell us he had removed items from the bill as an apology but couldn't tell us what, as it was "confidential". The whole evening was a shambles from the service to the food. A group of very disappointed people. We will not be returning.
Always been very busy when ever I have been passed, no matter whenever it has been day or night time . The staff are friendly always friendly and polite to talk to whenever in person or passing, if you ever see them, even if it's not in the restaurant.Also recently had some family go there for a meal one night & they told me that they enjoyed their meal , on their first time of going there, & said that they will be going back again.
